Incredible things about Jagannath Temple in Jagannathpuri
(History)
Incredible things about Jagannath Temple at Jagannathpuri It took three generations to build the huge walls of the famous Jagannath Temple at Jagannathpuri, located in Odisha. This temple is of utmost
importance to the Hindus as well as being one of the Char-Dham pilgrimages. It also serves as a mighty historical structure built in the year 1078, almost a millennium ago. Every year lakhs of people come to Odisha (India) to have darshan of Lord Jagannath.
Jagannath Puri Rath Yatra 2024
This year Puri Rath Yatra will start from 20 June and end on 28 June. According to the Hindu calendar, every year on the second day of the month of Ashadha, Lord Jagannath accompanied by his brother Balarama and sister Subhadra visits his aunt's house. Every year a Rath Yatra is taken out with great pomp at the Jagannath Temple located in the Jagannath Puri city of Odisha. Three chariots depart from the Jagannath temple. In the front is the chariot of Balraj ji, in the middle is the chariot of sister Subhadra and at the rear is the chariot of Jagannath Prabhu.
Reason for taking out Rath Yatra
Rath Yatra is dedicated to Lord Krishna, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, in fact there are many stories behind the Puri Rath Yatra. One of which is that once Shri Krishna, who resides in the Puri temple in the form of Jagannath, is told by his younger sister Subhadra that he is inclined to visit Dwarka but by road. Lord Shri Krishna respecting the wish of his younger sister, he tells his elder brother Dau that Dau, how can we go without you, you are our guide. After this, all three Balaram, Subhadra and Shri Krishna had completed this journey through chariot, during this journey they also went to Gundicha's house and stayed there for seven days. From then onwards the Rath Yatra started.
Now since Lord Shri Krishna had called his elder brother as his guide, therefore the chariot of Lord Balarama moves in the forefront of the Rath Yatra, followed by the chariot of Goddess Subhadra in the middle and Lord Jagannath Shri Krishna's chariot behind it.।

jagnnath temple facts/mystery
1. Facts Against the Law of Nature
Even a child knows that if a cloth is left in the air, it flies in the direction of the current. But the flag on top of the Jagannath temple seems to be a unique exception to the principle. This flag flies in the opposite direction of the wind without any scientific background.
2. Climb
Every day a priest climbs the walls of the temple to a height equivalent to a 45-storey building, to replace the flag on the dome of the temple. This ritual was built long before the temple was built. This work is done with bare hands without any protective gear. It is believed that if the ritual is omitted by one day from the calendar, the temple will be closed for 18 years.
3. a light without darkness
When sunlight casts a shadow on one part of the subject to another, which eventually triggers the shadow. It is said that there is no shadow in the temple from any direction at any time of the day. Could it be an architectural marvel or Lord Jagannath's message to humanity?
4.puzzle of Sudarshan Chakra
There are two secrets present on the top of the temple in the form of Sudarshan Chakra. The first contrast was how the hard metal, which weighed about a ton, arose with the human power of that century without any machinery. The second is related to the architectural techniques related to the chakra. Look from every direction, the wheel looks back in the same way. It's as if it was designed to look the same from every direction.
5. There is nothing above God, so nothing flies over the temple
We see birds sitting, resting and flying on top of our heads and roofs all the time. But, not a single bird is found above the dome of the temple, not even an airplane can be seen over the temple. Maybe Lord Jagannath does not want the view of his holy mansion to be spoiled!
6. The food prepared here never goes in vain
In mythology, wasting food is considered a bad sign; , The total number of people who visit the temple ranges between 2,000 to 2,00,000 people daily. Miraculously, the Prasad prepared every day does not go in vain, could it be an effective management or the will of the Lord?

9. magical ways of cooking
The traditional way of cooking Prasadam is followed here. Exactly seven pots stacked one on top of the other are cooked using firewood. Amazingly, the top pot cooks first, and the rest later.
